Think of a fictional character, celebrity, or historical figure you can relate to. Create an allusion that connects your personality or experiences to that person. Explain why you chose that reference.

Prompt Response: A celebrity that I can relate to is Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton is not only known for her music and acting, but also for how caring and thoughtful she was to others, as well as giving back to her community. I relate to her because I enjoy raising money for cancer, volunteering, and making a difference in others' lives, just like she did. Last year I rasied $7,000 for Blood Cancer United, and I really learned the meaning of helping others. I specifically chose this allusion because just like Dolly Parton, I want to make a positive difference in this world and help others at all costs.

Summary: Today in class, we learned and took notes on how to write the rhetorical analysis section of the AP exam.

Reflection: I really enjoyed the notes we took in class today. I learned what the rhetorical analysis essay is and how to go about it. I learned how to analyze diction, which was very interesting. I also learned the levels of connotation and what those were, which I really enjoyed. I learned a lot and deepened my understanding of the rhetorical analysis.
